In this video, we head to Piedmont, the second largest of Italy’s 20 regions, after Sicily.
Piedmont is surrounded on three sides by the Alps, including Monviso, where the River Po rises, and Monte Rosa. It borders with France (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur), Switzerland (Ticino and Valais) and the Italian regions of Lombardy, Liguria, Aosta Valley and Emilia Romagna.
Here, before attending the World Truffle Auction, we enjoy a virtual trek in search of white truffles; stop off at the Cascina Bruciata winery, swing by Lago delle Sorgenti for some deep relaxation, and visit Lake Iseo to see how traditional Italian boats are made.
